High-Resolution Flatcoil Probes For Multi-X NMR of Biological Solids
In solid state NMR spectroscopy of stationary, aligned samples, uniaxial orientation provides a mechanism of line-narrowing that retains both the distance and angular information.
Application of proteins and lipids onto glass plates, followed by pressure and shear, results in a very high degree of molecular orientation. This allows for improved structure determinations of macro-molecules using solid-state methods.
DOTY flatcoil probes have :
