Job Announcements
NMR Scientist/ Engineer. The successful candidate is expected to have a PhD in chemistry, physics, electrical engineering, or related, and experience with modern high-field NMR methods and associated equipment. Studies or experience in Dynamic Nuclear Polarization (DNP) is highly desirable.
Responsibilities will include setting up and running NMR experiments using state-of-the-art NMR probes and communicating their effectiveness. The work will include testing of products, demonstration of new capabilities, customer service, product development, and technical writing. Current efforts include development of MAS-DNP NMR probes for operation below 20 K with high-power rf circuitry, and development of small fast sample spinners for ssNMR.
Technical writing, leadership, and presentation skills, demonstrated by contributions to several peer-reviewed relevant publications and technical presentations, are required. Experiences in the following areas are a plus (somewhat in order of significance): proposal writing, controls engineering, 3D EM simulations, sales of analytical instruments, rf circuit simulations, MRI, business management, cryogenics, patent drafting, mechanical manufacturing.

Mechanical Development/Design Engineer: A stimulating engineering-physics R&D opportunity is now open in a science-focused small company. Responsibilities will include hands-on contributions to the design and development of advanced high-precision devices and systems utilizing micro-turbines, cryogenics, microwaves, and high-power rf components, using a combination of experimental, theoretical, and numerical methods. Responsibilities will also include assisting in design, assembly, manufacturing, documentation, and testing of production parts and systems.
Minimum requirements: B.S. or equivalent in mechanical engineering, physics, aerospace engineering, or electrical engineering, with a strong hands-on experimental emphasis. Studies or experience must include fluid mechanics, mechanical design, mechanical manufacturing, machine shop practice, and technical writing. Addiitonally, the following studies or experience (somewhat in order of significance) would be a plus: acoustics, computational fluid dynamics, CNC, electromagnetics, controls, circuits, cryogenics, electronics, heat transfer, ceramics, NMR, engine mechanics, and brazing.

Microwave & Controls Electrical Engineer: An entry-level growth opportunity is now available in a small, growing company known world-wide for innovation and excellence in NMR and MRI instrumentation. Minimum requirements: B.S. in electrical engineering or physics. Hands-on electronics experience also required. Responsibilities will include R&D and experimental development of a major new millimeter-wave product, along with some design modifications and documentation of existing NMR/MRI products.
Studies or experience in most of (though certainly not all of) the following desired (somewhat in order of significance): circuit simulations (Genesys, ADS, or similar), microwave devices, control theory, instrumentation development, Autodesk Inventor (or similar), full-wave EM simulations (CST or similar), technical writing, mechanical systems design and repair, NMR or MRI, and cryogenics.
