HE11 THz Launchers for LLWGs

• Reduce transmission losses in the mmw and THz ranges by factors 1 hundred to 1 million (frequency dependent) by switching from traditional TE₁₀ fundamental mode rectangular waveguides to the new Laminate Lined Waveguides (LLWGs) with overmoded HE₁₁.
• Switching to overmoded waveguides requires an HE₁₁ launcher.
• The Doty HE₁₁ launchers utilize a highly optimized spline profile to go directly from TE₁₀ to quasi-Gaussian HE₁₁ with unmatched efficiency, bandwidth, and mode purity.
• Gold-plated precision body, split on the E-plane, with gold-plated flanges (UG-383/U or UG-387/U).
