15.2 T Imaging Coils

Unique 15.2 T Dual Frequency 1H-19F/X MRI Coils

Doty’s first 15.2 T Coil was delivered to the Weizmann Institute just before the ENC in 2024.  This unique MRI coil was for mouse body (or rat brain).  The high frequency (650 MHz 1H) and tight spacing (59 mm OD with two coils and a 36 mm ID) made this coil quite challenging!  Tuning included: 1H-19F (tunable from 1H to 19F) and multinuclear X that included low gamma nuclei:  23Na,13C, 2H, 17O, 15N, and 14N.
A  36 mm ID x 35 mm FOV allows surface coil receive, when desired.
Results are presented below.
