Now Hiring: Lead Electrical Engineer / Applied Physicist — Microwave/THz, RF Controls, and Scientific Instrumentation:
Doty Scientific is seeking an exceptional electrical engineer or applied physicist to lead instrumentation development for advanced NMR/DNP probe systems and to support MRI pre-clinical rf coil products. Current projects include ultra-low-temperature NMR-DNP probes, HE11 THz passive components, tunable/matchable THz cavities, solid-state-THz-source protection, cold UHF RF passive circuitry, and automatic tune/match systems for NMR probes. This is a hands-on technical leadership role in a small R&D/product company where one person can have unusually large impact.
Strong candidates will have a PhD, MS, or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, applied physics, bio-chemistry, scientific instrumentation, or RF/microwave engineering; demonstrated ability to design, simulate, build, test, and debug real hardware; experience with RF/microwave circuits or waveguide components; strong controls/instrumentation instincts; and the ability to write clearly for proposals, reports, publications, patents, and customer-facing documentation.
Prior NMR-DNP or MRI experience is valuable but not required. An MAS-DNP/NMR scientist-engineer or an MRI scientist/engineer with strong hands-on instrumentation experience could also be an excellent fit.
